From Four XL to Two: William’s Remarkable 12-Week Elcella Journey
When William began his 12-week Elcella journey, he had one clear mission: get healthy enough for the knee operation he had been waiting on for months. Twice before, surgery had been postponed because his blood sugar levels were too high; with type 2 diabetes, it felt like a losing battle. At his heaviest, William weighed 25 stone. Shirts stretched at the buttons, mornings were a struggle, and the pull of the fridge late at night felt impossible to resist. Takeaways were a twice-a-week habit, the comfort of a familiar menu after long days.
Little Changes, Big Shifts
Twelve weeks later, the transformation was undeniable. He had lost just over a stone. His waist had shrunk from 180 cm to 121 cm. Most importantly, his blood sugar readings, which had stubbornly sat between 10 and 16, had dropped into the healthy range of 4 to 8.
The changes did not happen overnight. William built them into his day: Elcella capsules in the late morning, followed by lunch at 1pm, then his second dose at 4pm, and dinner at 7pm. Each time he took Elcella, it was followed by a three-hour no-eating window.
“It made me disciplined. I have never been that regimented before. If I was out, I would take my Elcella capsules with me. Wherever I was, I stuck to my Elcella plan.”
Late-night snacks became rare, only three or four times in the whole 12 weeks. Takeaways disappeared. His kitchen began to smell of vegetables and chicken. Salads, fish, and fresh greens replaced greasy bags of food on the table.
Moments That Felt Different
The progress revealed itself in quiet, unexpected ways. One afternoon, a train strike meant William had to walk 40 minutes to a hospital appointment. Before, he would have cancelled, but this time, he pulled on his trainers and set off. He stopped a few times, but he made it. There was also the morning he buttoned a shirt and realised the fabric hung loose where it used to strain. The four XL tops became three XL, then two XL.
Seeing What Others See
When William met his three sisters for the first time in months, their reaction said it all:
“They could not believe it. They said they had never seen me looking better.”
At the gym, now a regular part of his week, people noticed too. One woman asked if she should try Elcella instead of weight-loss injections. “I told her, give it a go. You’ve got nothing to lose.”
A New Chapter
With his weight down and his blood sugar stable, William has now been given the green light for his operation. For him, that is just the beginning.
“This journey has given me more energy, more discipline, and the chance to get my operation. It works. I am living proof.”
